The Branch — the Messiah — is named The LORD our Righteousness (Jer 23:6). And the restored city, the New Jerusalem, bears the very same name (Jer 33:16). The King and the City share one identity of righteousness; the Egyptian Exodus is surpassed as the New Exodus gathers Israel from all countries — a second, greater redemption that reframes every prior act of God as prologue.
